This is a delightful book about the effects of sleep deprivation on your body, and on your life. Most of us in our modern busy lives often go to bed far too late, sometimes its use that we need to relax more before we make the effort of going to bed, sometimes its because of the work we do, it might be shift work, or having to get up very early in the morning for whatever reason, but instead of going to bed earlier at night to make up for lost sleep, foolishly we don’t. I say foolishly, because sleep deprivation does have a knock on affect on our health and on our ability to cope with the demands of life today.

This is a very readable book, fortunately, as I find most books on subjects relating to health and healthy living can be dry and difficult to read or remember. I know most people really know that sleep deprivation is not good for us, I include myself in this category, but there is so much i want to do, and the only way I can make more time is to go to bed later. But, I ask myself, does not dragging myself through the day, mainly because I haven’t had enough sleep, slow me down? I would probably achieve far more if i did get to bed earlier, and that is why I am posting this book to day, hopefully it will help others to become more disciplined if they really understand the effects of sleep deprivation on their health, fitness and wellbeing.
