I use an elliptical trainer every day and have found it extremely helpful in my quest to regain my health after losing fitness due to circumstances beyond my control. I have only been using it for a month and already seeing a great improvement in my overall health. As I am a senior citizen I know that I cannot afford to allow myself to become too unfit.
I am looking at the reviews on the Amazon website re this elliptical machine, and they are pretty good. Most agree that the machine is easy to put together. The most critical said it was OK, good enough for a starter machine. The main complaint was it was squeaky, but of course that could be due to how the machine was assembled. But all agree it was excellent value for the price.
The product description says amongst other things it allows you to have low impact body workout to both upper and lower body, without causing any problems to any of your joints, especially knees. i can agree with that as I had a painful knee when I started exercising on my elliptical trainer, due to using a stepper, that my husband had put too much tension on. Within two weeks of using the elliptical trainer all my knee was back to normal. It also comes with a pulse monitoring system that allows you to take your pulse rate whilst exercising, this is very important, in fact i would advise that you don’t purchase any elliptical trainer that doesn’t have this benefit as it does improve your heart beat, but if you are older than 50 years you must be careful that your heart beat doesn’t go beyond 140 beats at least. You may well find that if you are sensible and start slowly and only increase time once your heart doesn’t go beyond the 140 mark that within a month your heart beat will steady and you can do 20 – 30 minutes easily. It also has a reader that tells you how far you have travelled and how many calories you have burnt as well as the time you have been on the machine.
In my blog I write about the importance of exercise and why it is even more important to exercise if you are over the age of 40 years. If you want to read the blog about The Importance of Exercise and How Much Do You Need After 40 than click on the link highlighted in yellow
I think for the money that this machine is hard to beat, especially if you want a reasonably priced machine. If you want to know more than click on the Amazon.com link below.
