I and my two eldest children have food intolerances and these intolerances have taken their toll on our overall health. They aren’t easy to deal with, and unfortunately you can sometimes think you are on top of things and then find that suddenly you are becoming intolerant to something else. This is where I am now, especially as I struggle with insomnia, and my doctor suggested i ate a small bowl of porridge last thing at night. This was a wonderful remedy for the insomnia, but has cost me over 15lbs of weight, and excessive fatigue, psoriasis, itchy eyes, and bloat. I thought the weight gain was due to the porridge, which it probably is, but it helped my insomnia so much I am loth to change. But suddenly it dawned on me that I am probably intolerant to the oats, as I am wheat and barley intolerant, so now I must try and do something else instead of the porridge at night.
